Women of the Oaks are committed to nurturing a love for the church, encouraging women to serve those in need, building community, and sharing love. As a unified body of believers we desire to inspire, equip, support, and disciple women to live fully in God's purpose. We fulfill that vision by creating opportunities and resources for women to discover gifts and be empowered to fulfill HIS purpose.

Our Teddy Bear Project was a success!

This project was inspired by Kada's Promise and was done in memory of Reese Hughes.

Coats for Kids Project

Our annual Coats for Kids Mission was a success! 50 coats were provided for the kids over at Toombs County Headstart!

Our Youth group was able to go over to the local Nursing Home and pass out flowers for Mother's Day!

MISSION FOR OCTOBER

Fall is in the air! The leaves are changing, and the weather is beginning to turn a little cooler. It’s honestly my favorite time of the year. Here at the Oaks we have started our church wide Fall mission project in September of collecting candy for Downtown Lyons Association, and this will continue throughout the month of October. One thing has changed. Instead of ONE opportunity for our church to participate in a community project (to give out candy), we will now be participating in TWO different ones. 
The Oaks will have a tent set up at the Courthouse on Wednesday afternoon, October 30 and also the next morning October 31 in downtown Lyons giving out more candy. We are going to need CANDY, CANDY, CANDY, and more CANDY. So we need lots of CANDY! There is a table set in the back of the sanctuary to drop off your donations or you may see me to go shopping for you. Please consider giving generously. We are looking at possibly ministering to over 1000 little ones in our community. It you are interested in helping at the tent on either of the days there will be more details coming soon.
